This lesson revisits and expands upon the emotion words we have already introduced. Expanding our emotional vocabulary and emotional intelligence, allows us to more successfully manage our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
What will Students do during this lesson?
Students will start with a Mindful Moment (Fire Breath).
Students will then have a chance to discuss, either whole class or small group, the following questions. "Has anyone found it hard to know what someone is feeling?" "Where in your body do you feel________?"(anger); (happiness); etc. "Sometimes it can be easy to talk about a feeling happy but it can be hard to talk about being sad or angry. What are emotions for you that are difficult for you to talk about?"
Students will then get a chance to play Emotions Charades!
